California’s Highway 1 is back in business after being closed through Big Sur for nearly two years — here’s what you can’t miss along the PCH:

🌊 Carmel-by-the-Sea: Stay in town at laplayaca or laubergecarmel, which offer easy access to shops, tasting rooms, and great restaurants. If you’re in the mood to golf, book a night at the historic Lodge at Pebble Beach.

🌊 Big Sur: Hit the trails at Point Lobos on your way out of Carmel, then soak up the iconic drive as you head to ventanabigsur or postranchinn.

🌊 Cambria & San Luis Obispo: Book a tour at the iconic Hearst Castle as you make your way out of Big Sur. Then, stay in charming Cambria at the whitewatercambria (we recommend getting up early, grabbing a coffee, and heading to Moonstone Beach to watch the surfers catch waves).
