There’s no shortage of great hotels in Tokyo, but the imperialhoteljapan occupies a special place in the city. Opened in 1890 as the first western-style hotel in Japan, it was redesigned by Frank Lloyd Wright in 1923, and then again 50 years later. Today, it’s every bit as glamorous as it’s always been—and is gearing up for its next chapter: a 10+ year-long reimagining (it will remain open throughout) in time for its 150th anniversary in 2040.

A trip to Napa is always a good idea. 🍷😍 And you’d be hard-pressed to find a hotel with a better view of Napa’s rolling vineyards than poetryinnnapa.
