Italy, we miss you. We miss your rich and creamy pappardelle dishes with noodles drenched in hearty meat sauces and sprinkled with fresh basil. We miss your piping hot margarita pies, straight out of wood-fired ovens, and into our salivating mouths. We miss your history - richer than a chocolate soufflé. We miss your marble cathedral exteriors with hand-painted stained-glass windows, stone monuments, and cobblestone streets. We miss lazing on blue-striped lounge chairs, nestled under citrus trees while sipping limoncello. We miss your wine, made in some of the oldest wine regions in the world. We’re raising a glass to you, Italy, and we can’t wait to safely return one day.
