The city of lights.

You really can’t go wrong when you’re jetting off to the City of Lights, but you can go incredibly right if you plan accordingly. Below, our ultimate guide to a romantic weekend in Paris this summer. Luxury hotels, mouth-watering meals and classic Parisian activities that will give you a trip to remember.

Did You Know?

The Eiffel Tower was originally created as a temporary installation, built for the 1889 World's Fair. It's become one of the world's most iconic architectural structures today.

Jardin du Luxembourg

There are few things more romantic than the famous Jardin du Luxembourg. Located in the heart of the 6th arrondissement, head there for incredible people watching, sunset strolls, picnics and...the crepe stands—the most important part.

Fondation Louis Vuitton

Anyone who’s into fashion and art will immediately gravitate towards the stunning Frank Gehry-designed building in the 16th arrondissement. You could spend hours just staring at the building itself, but inside the museum you’ll find both permanent and rotating collections of art that you could easily get lost in.

Rivié

The Hoxton Hotel group has just opened their first Parisian address, and it comes with quite a bit of buzz. Housed in an 18th-century townhouse, expect a cozy feel with classic Anglo-Saxon comfort food. The inner courtyard and the orangery create the perfect opportunity for a quick breakfast, business lunch, relaxing dinner or a cocktail.

Wim à Table

This charming, small plates restaurant is off the beaten path, but well worth a cab ride. An ever-changing menu serves fresh, authentic fare like cèpes a la Grecque, duck leg with herring caviar, and steak tartare. Chef Wim Van Gorp moved up the ranks working for Jean-Georges Vongerichten’s Market and cooking for Alain Ducasse before opening the doors to his own spot.

Would you go on a quietcation? One of this year’s biggest travel trends has us seeking out silence—like the kind you’ll find if you’re in Bali on March 19th for Nyepi. For 24 hours, the island goes quiet in celebration of the Hindu New Year, giving residents and guests space to cleanse negative energy, reflect, and welcome in new beginnings.

Sometimes, over-the-top trips look like five-star hotels and private jets. Other times, it looks more like this: taking in the stars while on a guided horseback trek across Mongolia’s wild steppes, deserts, and mountains with pelorusx. What’s more your speed?
